Can I hike an unrestored section of the Great Wall near Beijing?

Our Beijing offers guided Wild Wall hikes, including routes around Huanghua and Panlongshan. Terrain can be steep, uneven and exposed, so we discuss fitness, conditions and current access before confirming a hike.

Is there a hike combining restored and wild Great Wall?

The proposed Jinshanling to Panlongshan route starts at a grand restored section and continues into quieter, unrestored mountain country. It is around 9.5 km with roughly 760 m of cumulative ascent; the route may change with conditions.
