This hike along the incredibly important part of the Great Wall is a really unique opportunity to experience the beauty of an unrestored section. In fact, this was the northern frontier which saw many battles over the dynasties from the enemy trying to capture this section, even as recently as 1933.
Furthermore, you will hike to the 24 Eyed Tower, which had three stories. It served as the ultimate watchtower to spot enemies from afar and defend the frontier effectively.
This section of the Wall is considered semi-tourist — tickets are required, and paved paths lead up to the site. Because of this, the hike is relatively easy, making it ideal for families or anyone not keen on sweating or pushing their cardio limits. Nevertheless, as you can see from the photos, this is another mesmerising part of the Great Wall which is truly amazing to visit.
So pack some tasty food or ask us to, and let’s go hike a part of the wall that is suitable for all!
