Our Beijing · Private Great Wall Adventure
A private 6–8 hour Great Wall day trip from Beijing. Leave the crowds behind, walk through quiet villages and follow the unrestored Wall across a dramatic mountain ridgeline.
What is the Huanghua Wild Great Wall hike?
The Huanghua Wild Great Wall hike is a private guided adventure on an unrestored section of the Great Wall north of Beijing. Expect broken steps, silent watchtowers, mountain air and expansive views with few other visitors.
It is our most popular Great Wall hike for a reason. The route feels genuinely adventurous while remaining achievable for guests with reasonable fitness and endurance.
How the day unfolds
Your host handles the route, timing and private transport. You can concentrate on the climb, the stories and the views.

We collect your group from your central Beijing hotel and drive approximately 90 minutes to Huanghua.

Walk from a quiet village onto rugged mountain paths, discovering unrestored towers and rarely visited sections.

Pause at the high points, take photographs and enjoy the scale of the Wall before descending together.
A proper hike, not a sightseeing stop
The route begins gently, climbs steadily to the Wall and follows the ridgeline before a measured descent. Your host adjusts the pace to suit your private group and the conditions.
