Escape the heat and dive into one of Beijing’s most exhilarating summer adventures.
Our journey begins deep in the mountains of Miyun District, where a crystal-clear river winds through a lush, hidden valley. With cool water underfoot and towering cliffs on either side, we trek along (and sometimes through) the flowing stream, surrounded by pure nature and the peaceful sounds of summer.
As the hike continues, we climb toward the untamed Wild Great Wall — an unrestored stretch that rises along the mountain ridge, raw and majestic. There are no crowds or cable cars here. Just stone, sky, and silence. From the top, the Wall stretches out before us, carving across the mountains in all its rugged glory.
For the bold, there’s a chance to cool off with a full-body plunge into the river — the ultimate refresh on a hot day. So grab your gear and your spirit of adventure — this is a side of Beijing most people never even dream of.
Important note: If you would like to go in the water, you must be in good health condition.
