Most gyms in Beijing don’t advertise day passes. Walk into the wrong place and you’ll either get turned away or quoted a price that makes you choke on your protein shake. 😨

Here’s 5 gyms in tourist-friendly areas with short-term access:
If you’re staying near Dongsi or Beixinqiao — where our Hutong Bike Experience starts — this is your most convenient option.
BufferZone is one of the few gyms in central Beijing with a real swimming pool.
SUPERHERO runs on a pay-by-the-hour model.
LeFit/Leke 乐刻 (almost everywhere)
LeFit/Leke is China’s largest 24-hour gym chain. For new users, they offer a ridiculous welcome deal.
JianGuaiShou (literally “Healthy Monster”) is a 24-hour gym with basic equipment, no frills.
Prices are from Dianping (China’s Yelp) and gym APPs (updated May 7, 2026). Staff can help you download the APPs on arrival.
Promotions change, but these rates are a solid reference. Use this guide to find a convenient spot near you, and expect prices to stay in the ballpark. 😊
1️⃣ Do these budget gyms in Beijing have English-speaking staff?
Almost never. But you can use a translator APP and show the price on your phone. The staff are usually friendly.
2️⃣ Do these budget gyms in Beijing have lockers and showers?
BufferZone has both. U+FITNESS and SUPERHERO have lockers (better bring your own lock). JianGuaiShou and LeFit are more basic.
3️⃣ Can I pay with a foreign credit card at these budget gyms in Beijing?
Link your card to Alipay before you travel — that works everywhere. Then follow the gym staff’s instructions to download Dianping or gym APPs, and use Alipay to pay for your short-term pass. It’s safe, but if you’re concerned about financial security, try to ask if you can pay by cash.
4️⃣ Are these budget gyms in Beijing open 24 hours?
SUPERHERO, LeFit, and JianGuaiShou are 24/7. BufferZone and U+FITNESS have regular hours.
5️⃣ Do I need to book ahead for these budget gyms in Beijing?
No. However, if you need staff to help you buy a short-term pass, it’s better to visit between 9 AM and 7 PM. Outside those hours, gyms might be unstaffed or self-service only.
