One quiet season. One unforgettable Beijing.
This is not a hike designed to be rushed. The trail is the centre of the day, but so is the time to stop, look around, breathe and experience Beijing’s quiet winter landscape properly.

01 · Morning
We begin at a proper neighbourhood spot with hot dumplings and a simple Beijing breakfast before leaving the city behind.

02 · Forest
Approximately 10 km through snow-covered woodland, with around 300 m of elevation. We take our time, and the exact route may change with snow and trail conditions.

♨
03 · Recovery
Back towards central Beijing, we stop at the hot springs for two to three hours of soaking, sauna and recovery.
The air is cold. The welcome is warm.

Good to know before you go
The planned route is a moderate hike of approximately 10km with around 300m of elevation. Snow or ice can make it more demanding, so we may shorten or change the route to suit conditions.
Not necessarily. We select the route according to snow, ice, wind, trail conditions and your group’s fitness. The final distance and elevation may therefore vary slightly.
No. Snowfall around Beijing is unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed for a particular date. We use our local knowledge to choose the most beautiful available winter route and the best conditions for your day.
Collection is included from hotels within our central Beijing collection area. Your exact collection time and location will be confirmed before the experience.
Most days finish between approximately 7:00pm and 9:00pm. This is an intentionally full and unhurried day, so the return time depends on traffic, trail conditions and time spent at the hot springs.
Yes. Our standard hosted visit is approximately two to three hours, after which we provide transport back to your hotel. If you prefer to remain longer, you can arrange and pay for your own taxi back to the city.
Children and babies may join, but parents should consider that this is a long, active day on uneven mountain terrain. The trail is not suitable for strollers, so babies require an appropriate hiking carrier. Please tell us about younger guests before booking so we can discuss suitability and arrange the correct child seat for the vehicle.
Please tell us about allergies or dietary requirements before booking. We will do our best to adapt the included food, although some small local restaurants may have limited alternatives.
Mountain temperatures are usually colder than central Beijing, especially in the morning and when the wind picks up. Warm layers, gloves, a hat and suitable winter hiking boots are essential.
Bring warm layers, gloves, a hat, comfortable waterproof hiking boots with good grip, a refillable water bottle, swimwear, a change of clothes and any personal medication. Mountain temperatures are usually colder than central Beijing.
Light snow or changeable weather does not automatically mean cancellation. We may adjust the route to keep the experience safe and enjoyable. If snow, ice or wind makes conditions dangerous, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
Cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled collection time for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable. If we cancel because of dangerous weather or unsafe trail conditions, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.
