Leave the city streets behind and settle into the rhythm of a longer cycling day. Village roads lead towards the mountains, where the climb asks a little more of your legs. Then enjoy the changing views as the route turns downhill. This is an active outing for cycling enthusiasts.

Is this road ride for you?

You should be comfortable riding a bicycle on roads and spending several hours in the saddle. The approximately 100 km route includes climbing and descending, so tell us about your recent cycling experience when enquiring. We will discuss whether the ride and pace suit you.

Death Valley road cycle pricing

450 CNY per rider if you bring your own bike, or 700 CNY with a bike included. A minimum charge equivalent to four people applies. Groups of 1–10 can enquire; tell us how many guests need bikes so we can confirm the total.

Fuel for the miles

Local snacks and energy bars are included. Drinks can be purchased along the route, and we may stop for a coffee when a suitable spot is available. Let us know about dietary needs before booking. Any café purchases or other extras are paid separately.

Before your Death Valley road cycle

Allow around 6–8 hours, with the exact meeting place confirmed when you book. Wear suitable cycling clothing and tell us about your bike needs in advance. Traffic, weather and the group’s pace can affect the day, so leave your return plans flexible.

What is behind the name?

The route passes a graveyard on the descent, which gives the outing its memorable name. The focus is on the ride: a challenging climb, village scenery and a rewarding day exploring beyond central Beijing.
